About Lisbeth

Lisbeth

Living in the colorful and historic town of Coupeville in the heart of Ebey’s Landing National Historical Reserve supplies endless inspiration for Lisbeth Cort’s contemporary watercolor art.

Joy, Color and a Touch of Whimsy

Whidbey Island’s abundant farms, markets, roadside flower stands, local food and beaches all provide rich local subject matter for her work. Lisbeth’s paintings are distinguished by a lively mix of patterns, saturated colors and rich details. She combines watercolor, wax pastels, gouache and ink to present her subjects in joyful and lively ways.

A Few FlowersLisbeth grew up in the South and began painting after a 30-year career managing and staffing historic preservation and arts nonprofit organizations across the U.S. Her award-winning work has been featured in juried and solo shows as well as galleries across Whidbey Island.

In her off time, Lisbeth loves to garden and travel. She also sits on a couple of local boards and is a gubernatorial appointee serving on the Washington State Arts Commission.
